Wilderness First Aid Certification (2 Days)
When professional emergency help is not immediately available and you have to provide care for sick or injured patients, you need Wilderness First Aid training. Wilderness environments can make even small injuries a big deal if you don't know how to care for a patient. Our nationally certified instructors are trained as Emergency Medical Responders and have years of experience working with FEMA's Community Emergency Response Teams while providing medical care and assistance during actual disasters. We will provide you with a wide range of hands-on, real life simulations in order to teach you the knowledge and skills necessary to earn your own national certification. This comprehensive course covers: Preparation and Assessment, Preventing and Caring for Injuries, Environmental Hazards, Biological Hazards, Extended care, Exposure Needs, and Medical Emergencies.
This information-filled, scenario heavy course covers a basic understanding of emergency response in an outdoor setting and includes specific considerations for a wide range of incident scenarios. Knowledge is the best tool to have at your side when you’re out exploring or if you just want to be more competent in your ability to take care of yourself and others.
